What sparks my working fire?
Teamworking: in order to deliver anything other than the smallest project these days a team approach is required. I relish the interactions of the various specialists in the team and being an independent practice we get to work with different consultants which brings a fresh approach and dynamics to the team which keeps me on my toes. Construction is an ever changing world with new materials, techniques, regulations and standards. Keeping abreast of these and being able to direct a team and challenge the experts by asking the simple questions at the right time means the team is always learning with a common goal of delivering a great project, although we may have challenges on the way.
The fact that I have a team of like minded people around me in the practice is great also, and we can feed off our collective differences and experiences.
