News: John Rutter joins Powell Williams as Associate Partner/Senior Principal Designer

We are delighted to welcome Health & Safety expert, John Rutter, as an Associate Partner, fulling the role of Senior Principal Designer. Based in the firm’s Chester office, he provides PD services to clients across the UK.

David Hollingsworth, head of the Principal Designer team at the firm, said:
“John’s experience and reputation is second-to-none. He will be an invaluable asset for our clients. Focusing entirely on health and safety management, he will support the project management and development monitoring teams, as well as providing a standalone service to new and existing developer, fund manager and operator clients.”

John has joined the business from Safety For Design Ltd and has an incredibly impressive portfolio of high-end construction project experience over a long and successful career within CDM and construction health and safety. He has led Principal Designer teams, delivering PD duties for clients and has also mentored and coached junior team members too.

Our PD team works collaboratively with all parties and as an integral part of the design process, maximises the effectiveness of our role to ensure that design decisions impact positively on the project for those building it, and for the eventual end users.

Our staff are appropriately trained and experienced to act as either CDM Advisor, Principal Designer or to provide assistance to the named Principal Designer to ensure full compliance with the CDM Regulations.

John said:

Outside of work, John enjoys mountain walking and having played rugby union for many years, still very keenly participates in the sport.
